19-Free
Our suppliers "19-free" approach involves excluding 19 potentially harmful ingredients commonly found in traditional nail polish. Instead, we choose safer alternatives. The specific ingredients we avoid include: phthalates, benzophenone-1, triphenyl phosphate, benzophenone-3, microplastics (as defined by UNEP 2015), formaldehyde releasers, mineral oils/waxes, parabens, animal-derived ingredients, toluene, EDTA, camphor, sulfonamide, diethylhexyl adipate, xylene, added fragrances, hydroquinones, rosin, and acetone. Bioglitter
Traditional glitter in nail polish and cosmetics is often made from tiny plastic particles, known as microplastics, which pose significant environmental risks. When washed off, these microplastics can enter waterways, where they are difficult to filter out and can harm marine life by being ingested. Over time, microplastics accumulate in the food chain, affecting both animals and humans. Additionally, these plastic particles do not biodegrade, contributing to long-term pollution. Choosing eco-friendly glitter alternatives, such as biodegradable options, helps reduce this environmental impact while still allowing you to enjoy that sparkle.
